Overcoming loneliness + apathy through belonging.
-
Support Group.
Support Group is the space for teens to let other’s in on their lives, the giving + receiving of support, and an opportunity to build thriving relationships. Our support group model is provided by TreeHouse.
-
Mentoring.
Everyone needs at least one other person in their lives in the role of mentor. Our teens will have access to caring adults trained to help guide teens through life’s ups + downs.
-
Boxing.
Mental health, relational health, and physical health provide TeenWorks teens the opportunity to thrive holistically. Boxing is a wonderful outlet to develop health + discipline.
Mission + Vision
We believe loneliness leads to apathy and apathy to loneliness. It’s a difficult cycle to break. Teens are especially vulnerable to these two realities. We believe in creating relational spaces for teens to Belong + Thrive. When people belong they thrive. - MISSION
By 2026, 150 teens with a 3 mile radius of TeenWorks - St. Paul (Selby Ave. + Western Ave.) will belong to a mentorship group receiving support, developing friendships, + finding growth opportunities. - VISION
About TeenWors
We believe everyone is created to belong + thrive. Yet, loneliness + apathy is harming our teens + neighborhoods. Wanting to see teens thrive in transformative ways Mike Ashley, veteran youth worker, + Dalton Outlaw, St. Paul gym owner, created TeenWorks in ‘23. TeenWorks is a barrier-free youth mentorship community for teens 6-12th grade providing mental, relational, and physical health.
